The visit of the Indonesian delegation
“We want all people in Europe to understand this: For the sake of your palm oil, multinational companies destroy our forests, our source of life and our future”, says Nordin, founder of the organisation Save our Borneo. Now, he personally travels to Germany:
Rainforest Rescue, Robin Wood and Watch Indonesia! have invited him along with seven other activists and victims from Indonesia to come. Among them is an indigenous family from Sumatra who has lost everything due to the operations of the palm oil company Wilmar.
From December 7th to December 20th, they travel around Germany: They are going to meet with several politicians in Berlin, do television, newspaper and radio interviews and report at public events on the destruction of their livelihood.
