An airliner over torched rainforest

Please sign: deforestation for jet fuel? NO!

Dear friends of the rainforests,

The aviation industry wants to become greener – on paper, at any rate.

It plans to achieve “carbon-neutral growth” through biofuels and carbon trading.

The production of biofuels for aviation would almost inevitably involve palm oil, meaning further rainforest destruction – and with it the release of millions of tons of carbon into the atmosphere – to make room for oil palm plantations.

"Green" aviation? Not by a long shot.

Please add your voice to our protest against the misguided plans of the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO):

Thanks for being involved,
