industrial logging model - no benefits

"There is a growing consensus that the traditional concession-based industrial logging model does not generate the desired economic, social and environmental benefits." This comes after parliamentary questions from Lord Eden of Winton. Baroness Amos goes on to note in her response the 'Alternatives Roundtable' initiative that the Rainforest Foundation, along with Forests Monitor, Global Witness and Greenpeace are working on with DFID and the World Bank to try and find other ways of managing forests, especially in DRC.
